NBEAC is mandated to assure the quality of business education across Pakistan through its accreditation process. However, a significant number of institutions offering business and management science programs are not yet ready to meet the requirements for full accreditation. The Chairman, Higher Education Commission (HEC), has desired that all business and management science programs in Pakistan be brought under NBEAC’s quality assurance ambit by August 2027. To bridge this gap, NBEAC has introduced the Business Education Compliance Certification (BECC) as a transitional quality assurance mechanism. BECC enables business schools and affiliated colleges offering business and management science programs to demonstrate compliance with the minimum requirements for offering such programs, while progressively preparing themselves for full NBEAC accreditation.
Compliance certification is mandatory for all non-accredited business and management science programs that have been offered for at least one semester. For the purpose of BECC, a program will be considered a business or management science program if at least 65% of its core courses fall within the business or management science disciplines.
