After three successful training sessions in Islamabad, Lahore & Karachi, National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) has organized its fourth Training Session of Evaluators on May 11th & 12th, 2011. The aim of these 02-day sessions was to train the Evaluators of Accreditation Inspection Committee to perform Peer Review Process during accreditation. Most of the public and private universities from KPK & Balochistan region participated in the training.
The master trainers were Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nishat-Vice Chairman NBEAC/Associate Dean IBA Karachi, Prof. Dr. Rasheed Kausar-Pro Rector UMT, and Dr. Nasser Ali Khan- Member NBEAC/Director IMSciences Peshawar. Vice Chairman-NBEAC has given opening speech in which he comprehends the objective of Accreditation process. He has mentioned that our objective is to facilitate the business schools in order to enhance the quality assurance in Business Education. The speech ended with a note of appreciation and thanks to all members for their participation.
On Day one of the training Mr. Ahtesham Ali Raja, Program Manager(NBEAC) & Mr Farman Ullah Anjum, Director Regional centre Peshawar welcomed the participants and master trainers. Vice Chairman of NBEAC Dr. M. Nishat gave the opening speech. Dr. Nasser Khan conducted the training on first Module, NBEAC Accreditation Procedure. The objective of this session is to clarify all the queries of Evaluators related to NBEAC and its accreditation process.
Dr. Mohammad Nishat gave a comprehensive and interactive lecture on Self Assessment Process. The session carried out fruitful and healthy discussion on preparation of Self Assessment Report.
On Day two, Prof. Dr. Rasheed Kausar has deliberated about Peer Review Process, its objectives and assessment procedures. He has defined the standards to assess the proformae by AIC Evaluators.
Mr Farman Ullah Anjum gave a brief presentation about achievements of HEC in KPK over the past few years. Mr Fida Hussain, DG-QAA(HEC) talked about the role of QAA to improve the quality of education in Pakistan. Dr Nishat highlighted the impact of evaluators training sessions.
Mr. Karamat Ullah Khan, Speaker KPK Assembly was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony. Chief Guest distributed the certificates amongst the qualified participants, organizers and the master trainers. In his closing remarks he appreciated the efforts of HEC to improve the quality of Business Education in the country and suggested to increase the opportunities for such type of training courses.
We hope that this training will create awareness about NBEAC Accreditation Process. The NBEAC team coordinated with the Institutional representatives of all the Business Schools, for training and ensured all necessary logistical support was provided. The trainings proved to be a beneficial step towards strengthening the efforts of NBEAC and HEC to train the evaluators to conduct the evaluation process. Advanced level training by a foreign expert is being organized this year.

He has mentioned that our objective is to facilate the business schools in order to enhance the quality assurance in Business Education.The speech ended with a note of apprecitation and thanks to all members for their participation.
Prof. Dr. Anwar Ali Shah has conducted the training on first Module, NBEAC Accreditation Procedure.The session ended up with healthy discussions on NBEAC accreditation process and many queries have been clarified by master trainers regarding Fee Structure, NBEAC Scope and Timelines of each steps in accreditation process.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nishat has shared his experience regarding preparartion of Self ASsessment Report of IBA Karachi in second session. He also brief about the documents required during Self Assessment Process
On 2nd Day, Prof. Dr. Rasheed Kausar has deliberated about Peer Review Process,its objectives and assessment procedures.He has defined the standards to assess the proformae by AIC Evaluators.
The training session was ended with closing speech given by Prof. Dr. Rasheed Kausaur.

Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed- Chairman NBEAC has given opening speech in which he has appreciated the cooperation of master trainers. He has mentioned that accreditation has two fold objective i.e. Assessment as well as to identify the gaps.The speech ended with a note of thanks to all members for their participation.
